Kinecta Federal Credit Union promoted Brian Herbert to Southwest regional manager of its wholesale mortgage sales operation.

Herbert will oversee the activities of account executives in Southern California and Arizona.

He joined Kinecta’s sales team in 2009 and prior to that, from 2005, was vice president and regional manager at CitiMortgage.

Past positions include senior wholesale/correspondent account executive at InterFirst Wholesale Mortgage Corp. and senior account executive at First Nationwide Mortgage Corp.

SAN RAMON

CMG Financial Services hired Mark Zierott as director, retail sales.

He will be managing CMG's retail mortgage channel and will be responsible for sales leadership, business development and growth initiatives for all retail branches.

Zierott joins CMG with over 20 years of experience in real estate finance and sales and has managed sales and business development both regionally and nationally.

Former employers include Bank of America, Amtrust Bank, National City Home Equity and Interfirst Wholesale Lending.

DISTRICT OF COLUMBIA

WASHINGTON

The Independent Community Bankers of America said that former North Dakota community banker Terry Jorde has joined ICBA as senior executive vice president and chief of staff.

Jorde served as chairman of ICBA in 2006, and in her role as chief of staff will act as a liaison between ICBA's top executives and the president and CEO and will also have direct responsibility over ICBA's state relations and marketing and communications departments.

A community banker for over 30 years, Jorde most recently served as president and CEO of CountryBank USA in Cando, N.D.

James Kendrick also joined ICBA as vice president, accounting and capital policy.

As part of ICBA's government relations team, Kendrick will focus his efforts on existing and emerging financial accounting policies and regulatory capital concerns that are paramount to community banks.

Prior to joining ICBA, he served as senior manager, accounting policy for Fannie Mae in Washington and as an accounting policy manager for the Federal Home Loan Bank in Boston.

Additionally, he served as assistant vice president and assistant controller for Redwood Trust Inc.

ILLINOIS

CHICAGO

Hinshaw & Culbertson LLP said that Neil Rollnick, former chair of Yoss LLP’s real estate practice group and partner-in-charge of that firm’s Miami office, and Charles Tatelbaum, partner at Yoss and former chair of its bankruptcy and creditors' rights department, have joined Hinshaw as partners.

Joining them are six attorneys who, collectively, practice in the areas of commercial and residential real estate law, and business, civil and commercial litigation.

Tatelbaum will practice in Hinshaw’s Fort Lauderdale, Fla., office. Rollnick and the remaining lawyers joining the firm, who include Mitchell Bloomberg, Steven Cronig, Fernando Garcia, Elizabeth Baker, Douglas Wayne Swalina and Jesse Michael Keenan, will be resident in Hinshaw’s Miami office.

Bloomberg, Cronig, Garcia and Baker, formerly partners with Yoss, join Hinshaw as partners. Swalina, an associate with Yoss, joins Hinshaw as a partner. Keenan, a senior associate with Yoss, joins Hinshaw as an associate.

Rollnick represents clients in commercial real estate and asset-based loans, real estate transactions, corporate and partnership transactions, and business matters.

Tatelbaum represents companies and others in matters involving bankruptcy and creditors’ rights, complex business litigation, and transactions and litigation involving the Uniform Commercial Code and other types of secured transactions.

Bloomberg handles cases involving business disputes and commercial litigation.

Cronig focuses his practice in the areas of commercial real estate development and lender representations.

Garcia concentrates his practice in the representation of lenders in complex commercial loans, loan workouts and auctions of commercial properties.

Baker focuses her practice in the area of civil litigation at the trial and appellate levels.

Swalina concentrates his practice in the area of business and commercial litigation.

Keenan focuses his practice in the areas of secured finance, GSE housing finance and affordable housing, mixed-use and hospitality development.

Evesham Mortgage said that Robert Kelley has joined the mortgage banker as a partner and co-owner.

In this role, he will continue to serve the home financing needs of clients throughout South Jersey.

His mortgage career spans 21 years and prior to joining Evesham Mortgage, Kelley spent nearly four years as a branch manager for Oak Mortgage Co. in Medford.

RBC Capital Markets appointed Peter Hirsch as managing director and head of U.S. dollar rates and mortgage trading.

Hirsch's mandate includes coverage of governments, agencies, agency mortgages and derivatives.

He has worked in financial services for more than 25 years and joins RBC Capital Markets from Standard Chartered Bank, where he was head of G-10 and emerging markets rates trading in the Americas.

PENNSYLVANIA

HORSHAM

Berkadia launched Berkadia Investment Client Services, a new line of business providing commercial real estate investment sales services nationwide, and this division will be led by managing director Stephannie Mower, who has joined the firm as national head of investment client services.

Mower’s previous experience includes her most recent role as executive director and head of Dallas capital markets for Cushman & Wakefield.

She also instituted the third-party services division with Insignia Financial Group.

VERMONT

BRATTLEBORO

Northeast Home Loan named Mark Burton as senior vice president and production manager.

In this capacity, he will lead the firm’s retail and wholesale residential mortgage production channels.

Burton is a 30-year veteran of the mortgage industry, whose background includes regional and national positions in the areas o sales and marketing, product acquisition, pipeline management, credit policy and quality control.

His positions in the secondary market include that as a founding officer of EverBank Reverse and in various capacities at Fannie Mae during the 1990s and early 2000s.
