The issuance of nonagency residential mortgage-backed securities so far in 2013 is approaching the $11 billion mark, according to Standard & Poor's.
Credit Suisse accounts for around $2.3 billion of the total, with the most recent transaction, CSMC Trust 2013-HYB1, adding up to total of $382 million. The bank has done six deals year-to-date. The bulk of private-label deals have for some time been coming from the REIT Redwood Trust, under its Sequoia label.
