Shares at One Vendor, MIs, Take Losses Thursday

Technology provider Ellie Mae joins the two private mortgage insurers in the Mortgage Industry Equity Composite as the three firms with the worst stock performance on a percentage basis on Thursday.

Ellie Mae closed down 8.21% and its volume of shares traded for the day was more than double its three-month average. Radian and MGIC were down 2.08% and 2.01% respectively. MGIC had been the top gainer on Wednesday.

On the other Bank of America, Wednesday’s leading loser, was Thursday’s big gainer, up 3.06%. Other leading gainers are Redwood Trust at 2.16% and Fidelity National Financial at 1.76%.
