Ten-Year Drops to Low Not Seen Since February

The long-term rate-indicative 10-year Treasury yield on Monday morning dropped to a low below 1.8% not seen since February.

The 10-year near noon was at about 1.77%, according to Yahoo Finance.

Depending on how long it is sustained, the move could mean longer-term mortgage rates drop even further.

The average weekly Freddie Mac rate for a 30-year mortgage has dropped slightly below past records to new lows the last two weeks in a row.
