DEI is an important issue to most workers, especially to those who have experienced some form of discrimination in the past.
  • DEI is an emotional issue — discrimination can lead to anxiety and depression in those who experience it, and discussion around DEI can inspire anger in others who believe it is a distraction or imposition. 
  • Companies will need to create thoughtful strategies that include a strong education component, highlighting how and why DEI can have a positive effect on everyone within an organization.
