Ms. Leigh is currently the Group Vice President of Consumer Banking Regulatory Compliance and Quality Control for SunTrust Banks, Inc. Ms. Leigh has over 20 years of expertise in the Consumer & Mortgage Banking Industry, with particular emphasis in Risk Management and the related fields such as: Regulatory Compliance, Quality Control, Loss Mitigation, Loan Servicing, Foreclosure, REO, Fraud Investigation and Government Risk. Ms. Leigh is equally versed in FHA & VA Lending, Loan Underwriting, and Staff Management.

Ms. Leigh’s experience includes having worked with numerous leading companies within the Mortgage Industry, National Banks, GSE’s, Wall Street Firms, State and Federal Regulators and other Business Entities.

In addition to having her FHA Direct Endorsement and V.A. LAAP designations, Ms. Leigh has held one of the highest track records of success recorded in the mortgage industry for recovery on the complex issue of HUD/FHA Loss Mitigation, in accordance with the HUD statistics.

Ms. Leigh earned her Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration and Entrepreneurial Studies from the California State University of Northridge. Michelle is also a graduate of the Mortgage Bankers Association, School of Mortgage Banking and has also received her graduate certification as a Certified Fraud Examiner “CFE” from the Mortgage Bankers Association. Michelle also holds various licensing and certifications for other areas of the consumer banking industry in Compliance, Escrow, Real Estate Sales, Loss Mitigation, Foreclosure and Internal Audit.
