Servicing Vendor NCCI in a Hiring Mode

National Creditors Connections Inc., Lake Forest, Calif., is in a hiring mode, tripling its loss mitigation staff to 65 full-timers since January.

“We're still hiring in the loss mitigation area and looking for field reps as well,” said Lance Perry, director of loss mitigation for the company.

Presently, NCCI employs 2,200 field reps, a figure that has doubled since the beginning of the year, but as Perry points out many of those positions are third-party contractors.

NCCI is a vendor handling troubled borrowers for several residential servicing firms including some of the nation's largest.

Perry noted that because the company is based in Orange County it has no problem finding qualified workers with past experience as foreclosure specialists, loan officers, and underwriters.

During the mortgage boom Orange County was home to several subprime giants including New Century, Option One, and Ameriquest/Argent. Perry, who joined NCCI seven years ago, worked for some of those firms as well.
