Embrace Starts Correspondent Channel

Embrace Home Loans has started a correspondent lending channel, its first venture into third-party originations.

Jackie Weed is the vice president, director of correspondent lending. Her employment history including positions at First Choice Loans Service, Aegis Mortgage and SIB Mortgage and her experience includes starting, growing and managing correspondent platforms.

This is the Newport, R.I.-based company’s first foray into third-party lending. It has wanted to enter correspondent but resisted until it could provide the unit with marketing, technology and credit support resources, said Kurt Noyce, president.

Besides Weed, other members of the correspondent lending support staff are Brent King, Del Smith, Jim Mitchell and Nelson Ramos.
