Fannie Ranks Ocwen and PNC as Top Servicers

Fannie Mae has added Ocwen Financial Corp. and PNC Financial Services Group onto its list of top servicing shops.

Fannie released its servicer rankings Tuesday as part of its Servicer Total Achievement and Rewards (STAR) program, which ranks servicers based on overall performance, customer service and foreclosure prevention efforts.

The top performers in Peer Group One are Green Tree Servicing LLC, Nationstar Mortgage, Ocwen, PHH Mortgage Corp., PNC, Seterus Inc. and Wells Fargo Bank NA.

Fifth Third Bank and Regions Bank are the only two servicers in Peer Group Two.

Peer Group Three includes Capital One NA, Colonial Savings FA, M&T Bank Co., Navy Federal Credit Union, Sovereign Bank FSB and Third Federal Savings & Loan.

“We continue to recognize servicers that are on track to meet overall performance scorecard goals while also recognizing more servicers that are top performers in specific operational areas,” said Leslie Peeler, Fannie’s senior vice president for national servicing.

Fannie recognized Seterus, Regions Bank and Branch Banking & Trust Co. for their efforts to assistant borrowers who are 90 days or more past with a solution that improves their payment status.

Seterus, OneWest Bank FSB and Colonial Savings were cited for their efficiency in helping troubled borrowers avoid foreclosure and stay in their homes.

Fannie also recognized Green Tree Servicing, Fifth Third Bank and Navy FCU for their proficiency in completing short sales and deed-in-lieu transactions.
