Most recently, Cugno was a forensic securitization mortgage loan auditor at Cugno & Associates. But before then he was a mortgage industry trainer through an entity known at one point as Secret! University, later called AMC Institute. He was also the chairman and CEO of nonprime lender Americas MoneyCenter.
