United Wholesale Mortgage, Birmingham, Mich., is providing the mortgage brokers who sell product to it with metrics involving loan quality, efficiency and production. Those metrics determine the broker’s status with the company.
The Account Success Report, the company said, is a monthly statement to give brokers visibility into their performance and how they can improve their status.
Brokers can access the report at any time through UWM’s portal, EASE (short for Easiest Application System Ever). It is updated on the first of each month.
Based on the various metrics provided, mortgage brokers are assigned a status with UWM, starting at the top with Diamond, and working down to Platinum, Gold, Silver and Bronze. The company said each status has different benefits to doing business with the wholesaler.
Mat Ishbia, president of UWM who also recently promoted to president of parent company United Shore Financial Services, said, “We are providing transparency into how UWM measures each account, enabling them to work on improving these metrics. Our ASR is more focused on their loan quality and efficiency with UWM, rather than production or other aspects.”
