Clayton Holdings to Buy ValuAmerica Title Agency

Clayton Holdings in Shelton, Conn., has agreed to buy ValuAmerica, a settlement services provider headquartered in Pittsburgh.

Clayton, a unit of Radian Group, did not disclose financial terms.

ValuAmerica is a national title agency that also provides appraisal management and technology services. ValuAmerica's ValuNet xsp software allows mortgage lenders and vendors to streamline and manage supply chains and operational workflows.

Clayton will continue to operate ValuAmerica under its name and from its Pittsburgh headquarters.

"The acquisition of ValuAmerica significantly expands the scope of title and valuation services Clayton offers our mortgage clients," Joe D'Urso, Clayton's president, said in a news release.
