Orlando Has Most Improved Housing Market: Freddie Mac

Orlando, Fla., got a good dose of good news as Freddie Mac reported that the city's housing market posted the biggest year-over-year gains in April.

Freddie Mac reported in its Multi-Indicator Market Index Wednesday that Orlando's housing market improved 20.17% from last year. The national MiMi value for April was 84.1, a 0.27% improvement from March and a 7.37% gain from 2015.

On a month-over-month basis, nearby Lakeland, Fla., posted the biggest improvement at 2.06%.

Florida, unsurprisingly, was the most-improved state year-over-year with a 15.35% gain, followed by Colorado at 14.73% and Nevada at 14.62%. From March, the most improving states month-over-month were Mississippi with a 1.29% increase, followed by Tennessee at 1.27% and Massachusetts at 1.15%.
