LRES Corp. has hired Frank Obregon to serve as its commercial appraisal manager.

Obregon holds nearly 40 years of experience in the real estate industry.

Before joining LRES, he served as director of commercial valuation for PCV Murcor and also held a regional manager role with Ameriquest Mortgage.

SAN FRANCISCO

Union Bank said that Elizabeth Van Benschoten has joined its real estate industries group as managing director and market manager for community development finance in Northern California.

Van Benschoten previously served as president of Bridge Impact Capital, the community development financial institution affiliate of Bridge Housing Corp.

Prior to that, she held several positions at Bank of America Merrill Lynch, including SVP, senior client manager for the health care, education and institutions group and manager of the national debt products development team for the community development banking group.

Michael Most has joined Guaranteed Rate as vice president of mortgage lending for the company's Los Angeles and New York offices.

Most brings to the company more than 18 years of mortgage lending experience and previously worked with Corcoran and Citi Habitats in New York.

Arbor Realty Trust Inc. has appointed Bill O'Brien as senior vice president, agency production.

O'Brien will be responsible for the development and growth of Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac production pipelines as well as agency relationship management.

He comes to Arbor with more than 25 years of commercial real estate lending experience and for the past 10 years served as Fannie Mae's director of multifamily.

Umpqua Bank, a subsidiary of Umpqua Holdings Corp., has named Tom Farrell head of its homebuilder finance group.

Farrell, who brings more than 30 years of homebuilder and commercial real estate finance experience to Umpqua, will be based in Newport Beach, Calif.

He previously held senior positions at Bank of America, Landmark Capital Advisors, Bellstone Capital Advisors, and Sabal Financial Group.

Calyx Software said that David McLeod has joined the company as national sales manager.

McLeod brings 25 years of sales and management experience to Calyx, having held sales management positions in the financial services and mortgage industries.

Prior to joining Calyx, he was president and CEO of The M.K. Everest Cos. (M.K. Everest Mortgage, M.K. Everest Realty and M.K. Everest Homes).
