Citizens Bank in Providence, R.I., has appointed a former mortgage insurance executive to head its mortgage division.
Chris Nard began leading the division's operations, sales and technology teams on Oct. 19. He replaces Cheryl Nolda, who will leave Citizens later this year.
Nard previously served as the president and COO of Old Republic International Corp., and the chairman and CEO of Republic Mortgage Insurance Co.
"Our mortgage offering is a strategic priority for Citizens and we are pleased to welcome an industry veteran like Chris to help us continue to grow this important part of our business," said Brad Conner, the vice president and head of consumer banking.
