Steven Plaisance has taken over the role of CEO for both Arvest Mortgage Co. and Central Mortgage Co., a wholly owned subsidiary of Arvest Bank.

Plaisance became president and COO for Arvest Mortgage Co. and Central Mortgage Co. in March 2012, and will retain the role of president for both.

He began his career with Arvest in 1989, joined AMC in 1991 and has held a variety of leadership positions since 1996.

Plaisance is also a two-time president of the Oklahoma Mortgage Bankers Association.

CALIFORNIA

SAN FRANCISCO

The board of directors of the Federal Home Loan Bank of San Francisco appointed Stephen Hastings, Martin Quintana, Douglas Shoemaker and Tunua Thrash-Ntuk to its Affordable Housing Advisory Council.

Two current members, John Carlisi and Cloyd Phillips, were reappointed.

The 15-member Affordable Housing Advisory Council provides the bank with guidance on affordable housing and economic development issues and helps shape its community grant and credit programs.

COLORADO

LenderLive Network Inc. said that Andrew Lion and Wendy Lovett have joined the firm as regional account executives for the company's correspondent lending division.

Lion will cover the Northern California, Oregon, Washington and Alaska territory, and Lovett the states of Arizona, Colorado, Nevada and Utah.

Lion has more than 10 years of experience as a mortgage professional in retail, wholesale and correspondent lending platforms.

Most recently, he was Northern California account executive for Amerisave Institutional Lending, where he assisted in the development of its third-party origination correspondent and wholesale lending channel.

Lovett brings more than 15 years of mortgage industry experience to LenderLive.

She most recently served as sales director for Stonegate Mortgage, where she assisted in the development of correspondent and emerging banking and business channels.

CONNECTICUT

EAST HARTFORD

1st Alliance Lending named Rick Cardillo as its national director of business development.

Cardillo brings to the company over 27 years of mortgage and consumer banking experience.

He has held senior positions at Nationstar, CitiFinancial Mortgage, Bank of America and Morgan Stanley Credit Services.

In his new role, Cardillo will lead 1st Alliance Lending's multichannel national lending program.

SHELTON

Clayton Holdings, a provider of loan due diligence, surveillance, REO management and consulting services to the mortgage industry, said that John Guy has joined the company as senior managing director of business development.

In this position, Guy will be responsible for expanding Clayton’s customer base and developing and executing strategic initiatives with Clayton’s parent company, Radian Group Inc.

He has more than 25 years of residential and commercial mortgage banking and finance experience.

Most recently, he served as senior vice president of business development for Wingspan Portfolio Advisors.

DISTRICT OF COLUMBIA

WASHINGTON

The Mortgage Bankers Association said that Thomas Kim will be promoted to head the association's commercial/multifamily group, replacing Gail Cardwell who informed MBA in early January that she will be leaving at the end of February.

Kim's appointment as senior vice president of commercial/multifamily will be effective March 1.

Kim currently serves as MBA's senior vice president of commercial/multifamily policy, managing its public policy activities that impact the commercial/multifamily finance industry.

Prior to joining MBA in 2011, he served as associate general counsel at Freddie Mac, advising the company on a broad range of legal, regulatory and public policy matters.
