Carrington Holding Co. named Rudy Orman managing director of business development for Carrington Mortgage Holdings.

In this position, Orman will serve as the new intuitional business liaison for Carrington's real estate and mortgage divisions.

Prior to joining Carrington, he served as senior vice president and director of marketing and business development at RCS, a wholly owned subsidiary of American Capital Mortgage Investment.

Orman was also vice president of business development for Marathon Asset Management, and for the GSAMP mortgage conduit of Goldman Sachs.

ORANGE

LRES, a national provider of residential and commercial valuations and asset management for the mortgage, banking, credit union and real estate industries, named Candice Merriweather as vice president, national sales manager.

Merriweather previously served as national sales director for StreetLinks Lender Solutions, a provider of valuation services and lending technology solutions.

FLORIDA

Bill Martin, the chief executive officer of Michigan Realtors, is joining Florida Realtors as its new CEO, beginning March 23.

Martin will be based at Florida Realtors' Orlando headquarters.

He has been CEO of the Michigan association for the past 14 years.

In 1987, Martin was elected to the Michigan House of Representatives serving Calhoun County; a position he held for four terms.

Greystone said that Dan Ross has joined the firm as a managing director in its newly opened Portland, Ore., office.

In this role, Ross will focus on originating new multifamily mortgage loans across the Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, FHA, CMBS and bridge platforms in the Northwest.

He joins Greystone from HomeStreet Capital, where he established the Portland office and oversaw loan production for all HomeStreet Capital offices as well as production through its national DUS correspondent network.

From 2010 to 2013, Ross served as senior vice president at Alliant Capital where he originated loans across a range of financing platforms, including Fannie Mae and FHA.

Gateway Mortgage Group, a privately held mortgage company offering originations, servicing and correspondent lending, added Debbie Booth and Rick Martinez to its correspondent lending team of regional sales managers.

Booth has been in the mortgage banking industry for more than 25 years and in correspondent lending since 1997.

Prior to joining Gateway, she has held a variety of client relationship positions with firms such as Chase, Dime Correspondent, Irwin Mortgage and Affiliated Mortgage Co.

Martinez has more than 20 years of correspondent lending experience in sales and operations.

In previous roles, he was focused on developing profitable relationships with mortgage bankers through sales and leadership positions with Affiliated Mortgage Co., National City Mortgage, Freedom Mortgage, Sovereign Bank and Bank of Boston.

WISCONSIN

Mortgage Guaranty Insurance Corp., the principal subsidiary of MGIC Investment Corp., is promoting Kurt Thomas to senior vice president, chief human resources officer and Dean Dardzinski to vice president managing director.

MGIC is also rounding out its national accounts team with two vice presidents national accounts by promoting Elyse Mitchell and hiring Robert Bates.

Thomas has served as MGIC's vice president, human resources since 2003.

In addition to managing the HR function, he also oversees facilities, building administration and the corporate giving function.

Dardzinski has been a part of the mortgage finance industry for more than 20 years.

He joined MGIC in 1993 as a sales service representative and before coming to MGIC was a loan officer for First Citizen's Mortgage Corp.

Mitchell has more than 20 years of industry-related experience and joined MGIC in 2000 as an account manager.

Bates comes to MGIC from Assurant Specialty Property where he was the director of product development.

His previous positions also include national sales director with Lenox Financial, senior vice president for CitiMortgage/Consumer Lending and general manager with Wells Fargo.
