Catalyst Lending is opening its first Utah branch in Orem with a Salt Lake City branch opening soon.

The new branch will be led by Debbie Isaacs, Utah regional manager.

Isaacs has over 30 years of experience in the mortgage industry.

Her professional background includes positions with the Mortgage Bankers Association, Central Utah Board of Realtors and Women's Council of Realtors.

Fay Servicing has selected Patrick Norton as the new president of its origination division, Fay Mortgage Services, and Greg Reed to replace him as senior vice president of account management.

In his new role, Norton manages all originations activities including sales, underwriting, funding and delivery.

He has more than 18 years of mortgage banking experience and previously served as senior vice president of account management at Fay Servicing.

Prior to joining Fay Servicing, Norton was first vice president of operations at Countrywide Home Loans/Bank of America, where he was responsible for divisional lending operations for all retail branches in the Midwest and the East Coast.

With more than 20 years of experience in the industry, Reed is now responsible for a team of 140 account managers and associated functions across five servicing centers.

Prior to taking on this role, Reed served as a first vice president in account management for Fay Servicing, opening its servicing center in Dallas.

Before joining Fay Servicing, he served as executive vice president of Great Western Financial Services where he oversaw sales, marketing operations and investor relations.

Summit Valuations said that Mark Melikian has joined the company and as chief valuation officer with responsibility for training and managing the firm's quality assurance team and leading new product development.

Melikian has been appraising real estate since 1987 and has been active in nationwide valuation services since 2005.

Much of his recent experience has focused on forensic reviews of REO properties for Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac.

Greystone promoted Sharon Briskman to executive vice president, servicing and asset management, assuming responsibility for its loan servicing platform.

She succeeds Mark Jarrell, corporate executive vice president, who led the platform since 2010 and will now focus on Greystone's nonagency lending businesses, including CMBS and bridge financing.

Briskman previously served as chief financial officer of Greystone Servicing Corp. Inc. and has been a senior executive at Greystone since joining in November 2005.

Mission Capital Advisors said that Jason Parker and Philip Justiss have joined the company's debt and equity practice as directors.

Both will be responsible for the origination, structuring and placement of commercial real estate capital on behalf of owners, investors, developers, family offices and private equity firms nationwide.

In his position at Cooper-Horowitz, Parker specialized in the origination and structuring of debt and equity.

He also previously held positions at Hudson Realty Capital, Bear Stearns and Emigrant Savings Bank.

Justiss, who formerly worked as a consultant for Mission Capital, previously served as a vice president of problem loan administration at Branch Bank and Trust.

He worked at Colonial Bank prior to its acquisition by Branch.
