Primary Capital Mortgage appointed Felix Ortiz regional sales manager, focused on building its wholesale business in California.

Ortiz was most recently a regional sales manager at Real Estate Mortgage Network.

Prior to his work at REMN, he held management and sales roles at companies including Equity Loans, Majestic Home Loan, Pacific Union Financial and Citigroup.

ATLANTA

Baker Donelson has named new practice group leaders within the firm's financial services department.

Linda Finley, a shareholder in the firm's Atlanta office and a member of the board of directors, was named chair of Baker Donelson's consumer finance litigation and compliance group.

Dylan Howard, also a shareholder in the firm's Atlanta office, was named vice chair of the group.

John Rowland, a shareholder in Baker Donelson's Nashville office, was named chair of the firm's corporate restructuring and bankruptcy group.

Kristine Roberts was named chair of Baker Donelson's financial services litigation group.

Roberts is a shareholder in the firm's Memphis office and a member of the board of directors.

Jackie Prester, a shareholder in the Memphis office, was named chair of the firm's financial services transaction group.

Courtney Gilmer, a shareholder in the Nashville office, and Jonathan Green, a shareholder in the Atlanta office, were named co-leaders of the firm's Consumer Financial Protection Bureau task force, a team of attorneys who focus on litigation, enforcement and regulatory compliance issues related to the CFPB.

Inland Real Estate Investment Corp. appointed Ravi Bansal vice president, research and product development.

In this role, he will be responsible for facilitating the development of new investment products.

Bansal comes to Inland Investments from GE Real Estate, where he worked in senior positions for more than 10 years.

Prior to joining GE Real Estate, he was a senior portfolio analyst for Freddie Mac.

MARYLAND

BETHESDA

Walker & Dunlop Inc. added Jeffrey Taschler to the Walker & Dunlop Commercial Property Funding team.

As chief operating officer and senior vice president, Taschler will be responsible for originating commercial financing opportunities for clients nationwide out of the New York office.

Prior to joining WDCPF, he served as managing director at Ladder Capital.

Before Ladder Capital, Taschler was managing director and head of U.S. lending/originations at UBS Investment Bank.

Meridian Capital Group said that Michael Maidhof joined the company as a senior vice president.

Maidhof will be responsible for expanding Meridian's agency origination and underwriting capabilities as well as sourcing and placing loans generated by Meridian's newly formed investment sales platform.

He joins Meridian from Freddie Mac where he most recently held the role of production and sales manager for the Northeast region.

Prior to Freddie Mac, Maidhof worked for Hunt Mortgage Group (formerly Centerline) where he held the roles of underwriter analyst and associate and was focused on LIHTC transactions and servicing Freddie Mac loans.

Karen Haycox has been named CEO of Habitat for Humanity New York City.

Founded in 1984 as an independent affiliate of Habitat for Humanity International, Habitat NYC builds in the five boroughs of New York City, creating affordable homes for ownership by families and individuals in need.

Haycox most recently served as vice president, fund development at Southwest Solutions, a provider of both human services and affordable housing and economic development in southwest Detroit.

She previously held a number of senior positions with Habitat for Humanity International in Atlanta, and also managed Habitat for Humanity's relationships with Major League Baseball, the National Hockey League and other key corporate supporters.

OREGON

PORTLAND

WFG National Title Insurance Co. appointed Stephen Gregory as underwriting counsel for its agency group in West Virginia.

In his new position, Gregory will provide underwriting support for WFG agents in West Virginia and will also serve as a secondary underwriting resource in Virginia.

Over the course of his 35-year career, he served with Stewart Title for 10 years in both a state manager and underwriting counsel role.

He has also practiced law in the private sector, including five years with Steptoe & Johnson in Charleston, W.Va.
