Ocwen to Close Houston Residential Servicing Center

Ocwen Financial will close a call center in Houston as the mortgage servicer continues to downsize.

The closure of the Houston facility will affect 140 employees, who will be offered the opportunity to apply for jobs elsewhere in the company. The call center in Houston is the smallest of Ocwen's residential-servicing call centers in the mainland U.S. Ocwen will continue to operate a commercial servicing unit in Houston.

Ocwen in Atlanta is downsizing operations and selling off assets, as it deals with litigation and government investigations. The company recently sold $45 billion in servicing rightsto JPMorgan Chase.
