ReverseVision has hired industry educator Dan Hultquist as director of learning and development.

Hultquist also co-chairs the education committee for the National Reverse Mortgage Lenders Association.

Hultquist most recently served as reverse mortgage training manager for Open Mortgage and at the same time originated loans as a branch manager for the Austin, Texas-based lender.

Cornerstone Real Estate Advisers has appointed Joham Tavera as vice president of alternative investments.

In this new role, Tavera will be responsible for the origination of new structured commercial real estate investments, primarily in the Western region of the U.S.

He joins Cornerstone from ACORE Capital and brings to the firm over 15 years of experience across the domestic and international commercial real estate market.

OpenClose has hired Sonja D'Anneo as a lead integration specialist.

D'Anneo holds more than 25 years of technology and mortgage experience working in a number of different technical and business areas.

She has held senior positions at mortgage companies such as Del Mar DataTrac, Lender Support Systems, Home Savings America and ITC Solutions & Services Group.

Guaranteed Rate said that Jim Linnane has joined the company as the new director of national sales.

He was recruited to focus on further expanding the company's sales force.

Linnane previously spent 15 years with Well Fargo, where he managed the Midwest and the Northeast retail mortgage business.

Reverse Mortgage Funding expanded its third-party originations team with the addition of Anissa Palmatier as Midwest regional account manager.

Palmatier brings to RMF more than 15 years of mortgage industry experience, which include spending the last three years serving as a regional account manager for Liberty Home Equity Solutions.

She also served as a mortgage loan officer for the PNC Financial Services Group, focusing on reverse mortgages.

TEXAS

HOUSTON

InterLinc Mortgage Services has named Steven Chiou chief operating officer.

He will also be responsible for overseeing InterLinc's secondary, underwriting, closing, post-closing, human resources and IT activities.

Prior to joining InterLinc, Chiou served as senior vice president of capital markets for Supreme Lending.

SALT LAKE CITY

Burton Embry has been named president of Mortgage Compliance Professionals Association of America, a new organization for mortgage compliance professionals.

Embry is currently the executive vice president and chief compliance officer for Primary Residential Mortgage Inc., and is responsible for its risk, regulatory and compliance management programs.

He has more than 35 years in the financial and mortgage banking industry with over 30 of those years focusing on mortgage compliance and quality assurance matters.

VIRGINIA

ARLINGTON

FBR & Co. said that David Corak has joined its equity research department's real estate group as vice president, research analyst.

Corak most recently worked at Stifel where he covered multifamily, lodging, self-storage and student housing REITs.

His previous experience includes PNC Financial Services where he was a banking analyst.
