SARASOTA

Element Funding, a division of Primary Residential Mortgage Inc., has opened its first branch office in Sarasota, which will be managed by Brody Wiseman (sales manager) and Christopher Schultz (senior loan officer).

Wiseman was previously a loan officer with Regions Bank before joining Element Funding.

Schultz brings to the firm 16 years of experience in both the wholesale and retail mortgage industries.

INDIANA

INDIANAPOLIS

Stonegate Mortgage Corp. said that David Kress has been named general counsel and will be responsible for overseeing all legal, regulatory, legislative and licensing issues.

Kress served as associate general counsel for Stonegate beginning in February 2014 and has served as interim general counsel since Aug. 1, 2016.

Prior to joining Stonegate, he worked in private practice for 15 years representing a variety of lenders and public companies in litigation and regulatory matters.

MINNESOTA

EDEN PRAIRIE

MiMutual Mortgage, the national retail channel for Michigan Mutual Inc., has opened a branch in Eden Prairie, which will be managed by Femi Oriogun.

Oriogun brings more than 20 years of mortgage industry experience to the position.

He was previously vice president at Finance of America in its consumer-direct division and prior to that owned and operated his own mortgage company.

NEW YORK

KINGSTON

Rondout Savings Bank has appointed Marjorie Rovereto as its new chief lending officer.

She brings to Rondout more than 32 years of banking experience.

Over the course of her career, Rovereto has served as both president and chief executive officer for both Ulster Savings Bank, headquartered in Kingston, and Hometown Bank of the Hudson Valley, headquartered in Walden, N.Y.

NEW YORK

Hunt Mortgage Group has opened an office in Tampa, Fla., which will be led by Anne Stewart.

Stewart comes to Hunt Mortgage Group from Guggenheim Commercial Real Estate Finance, where she was a managing director.

Prior to that she held senior origination positions with Credit Suisse/Column Financial, Potomac Realty Capital and Ocwen Federal.

Hunt Mortgage Group has also opened an office in Houston and hired Tony Talamas as vice president to lead the local effort.

He comes to Hunt Mortgage Group from BMC Capital where he was a vice president and loan officer.

Talamas founded his own firm, Fountainhead Intermediary, and he has also held positions with Deerpath Capital, Wells Fargo, Washington Mutual and Merrill Lynch.

Caliber Home Loans has appointed Matt Schilling as its senior vice president of strategic growth, effective immediately.

Schilling brings more than 20 years of industry and business development experience to Caliber.

Most recently, he served as senior vice president of national business development for Lennar's Eagle Home Mortgage and Universal American Mortgage Co. subsidiaries.
