Co-founder and Managing Member

Scott Ryles is the Co-founder and Managing Member of Echelon Capital Strategies, LLC. Echelon commenced investment and fund management operations in September 2013. As of April 2014, Echelon managed more than $75 million in assets, with investments through two funds consisting of LendingClub consumer prime, near-prime and small business loans. Echelon Capital Fund, L.P. invests in prime consumer loans and uses leverage to enhance returns. Echelon Diversified Fund, L.P. invests in a variety of loans that differ by product, duration, and borrower type. The Echelon investment process is led by investment professionals with significant risk management experience. Aamir Sheikh, PhD., formerly was Managing Director in the Enterprise Portfolio Management Group at Bank of America, Managing Director of Portfolio Analytics in the Global Equities division of Merrill Lynch, President of Barra Inc., and Assistant Professor of Finance at Indiana University. Andrew Rudd, PhD., was the co-founder and CEO of Barra Inc., and Professor of Finance at The Johnson School Cornell University. Mr. Ryles has served in CEO roles in the insurance, alternative asset management, and investment banking industries. Mr. Ryles spent 18 years at Merrill Lynch in various investment banking positions. He has originated and executed financings and merger and acquisition transactions with cumulative market value more than $100 billion. Mr. Ryles has been a Director of KKR Financial Holdings LLC, ArcSight Inc., and Gymboree Corp. He also has served as a Director of several private, venture capital-backed companies. He received a BA Degree in economics from Northwestern University.
