McDowell joins as a managing director in fixed income trading and sales, the company said in a press release. He will be a sales generalist responsible for commercial real estate securitization and structured funding transactions and will be based in the firm’s New York office.
“With over 15 years of broad-based experience in real estate financing, Chris will be an important asset to our clients as the firm continues to expand its business and expertise in this key asset area," said Dan Hoffman, the group’s senior managing director.
At UBS, McDowell was a managing director for the securitized products group focusing on commercial real estate since 2011. Before UBS, he held positions at Bank for America, Robert W. Baird and Lehman Brothers.
