Joe Rossi, senior vice president of operations and technology at Freddie Mac, is leaving the government controlled secondary market giant, according to industry officials close to the situation.
Rossi is the second senior level manager to depart from the GSE in the past month. The other was Peter J. Federico, executive vice president of investments and capital markets, who announced his intention to leave in late April.
Rossi’s exact departure date is not known, but he is still at the company, said one official. “There was a re-org last week and he decided to leave,” said this source.
Freddie named Rossi to his current position last fall. He joined the GSE back in 2005 and has held executive titles at such firms as Citigroup, JPMorgan Chase, and Mellon Bank.
