Anworth Mortgage Asset Corp., a real estate investment trust based in Santa Monica, Calif., has priced a public offering of 14.3 million shares of common stock at $8.75 per share. Anworth has granted the underwriters an option to buy up to 2.145 million additional shares to cover any overallotments. The mortgage REIT said it plans to use the expected net proceeds of approximately $118.7 million to buy agency mortgage-backed securities.
