Armenian mortgage professionals have visited the United States in an effort to see whether techniques used in this country might help them improve their fledgling industry. The Charlotte, N.C.-based New World Mortgage Inc. said it recently hosted a delegation of 11 of the highest-ranking officials from the Central Bank of Armenia as part of a U.S. State Department delegation. "Armenia has only been around in its present form since the breakup of the Soviet Union, so their financial industry is not well developed," said New World Mortgage president Christian Werner. "They had questions about the mortgage process, private mortgage insurance, and about customer service." New World can be found online at http://www.mortgagemaps.com
