Bank of America Home Loans has opened a new outreach center to assist financially troubled borrowers in the Boston and surrounding regions.
A mobile team of B of A Home Loans associates was stationed in the area in May to gather financial information, provide counseling and help begin the loan modification process.
The new center will expand borrower contact with homeownership retention specialists about both Home Affordable Modification Program and B of A modifications. It has mandated an appointments only policy.
Since 2008 the bank said it has assisted a total of 13,000 such clients in the area.
