Barclays’ latest regional housing update report singles out Meritage as the builder with the “most attractive” metropolitan statistical area exposure among homebuilders.
The industry update from four groups of researchers in different areas at the company is based on an MSA analysis that identifies the most attractive MSAs based on “strong momentum in permit increases, along with low distressed share in home sales.”
Regionally, the report by researchers specializing in building products and homebuilding, credit, economics and securitized products identifies regions like the following as among the most attractive MSAs: Phoenix, North Port/Sarasota, Fla., Minneapolis, San Francisco, Portland, Dallas, Raleigh, Charlotte, Kansas City, Colorado Springs, Boise, Seattle, Oklahoma City and Denver.
