Rinnovatore has left the firm after 16 years, according to sources familiar with the move.

Attea, formerly a senior originator of consumer securitization transactions reporting to Rinnovatore, will co-head the group with Cory Wishengrad. Barclays hired Attea from Morgan Stanley in 2011.

In his new role, Attea will manage the consumer and mortgage verticals, and will report jointly to Jim Glascott, head of global debt capital markets and Scott Wede, head of global securitized products trading.

Wishengrad will continue to lead the esoteric group but the group will become part of Barclays leveraged finance business that is led by Jean Francois Astier.
