Belize Mortgage Bonds Downgraded

Moody's Investors Service has downgraded two classes of bonds issued by Belize Mortgage Co. 2002-1.Moody's downgraded the class A bonds from A3 to Baa1 and the class B bonds from B2 to B3. The ratings for both classes remain on review for possible downgrade because the government of Belize's foreign currency country ceiling for bonds and notes has a negative outlook, the rating agency said.
