BlackRock Inc. has named a new global head of real estate to oversee both debt and equity investment products.

Jack Chandler, who most recently served as global chief investment officer and executive chairman, Asia, for LaSalle Investment Management, will be joining BlackRock.
BlackRock senior managing director Paul Audet, who has had interim responsibility for the real estate post since 2008 will move on to "other executive responsibilities," according to the company.
Audet previously had served as head of cash management and before that, chief financial officer.
