Carrington Mortgage Services in Santa Ana, Calif., appointed Harold Michaud as area manager for Northern California as part its ongoing effort to beef up its lending in the region.

Michaud, a 21-year mortgage lending veteran, had previously worked with Academy Mortgage Corp., Primetime Lending, and Bank of America, where he was a home loan manager.
Ray Brousseau, the executive vice president of Carrington's mortgage lending division, said the addition of Michaud should help the firm build a book of business in fiercely competitive Northern California.
"Carrington remains sharply focused" on expanding market share, Brousseau said in a news release. Only "strong leadership and commitment at the local level" can make that happen.
