Carrington Mortgage Services, Irvine, Calif., a fast growing retail/wholesale lender, this week hired Rick Sharga of RealtyTrac as executive vice president in charge of branding and marketing.
In a statement the privately held Carrington, a nonbank, said Sharga will service as the firm's “primary industry spokesman.”
Carrington's wholesale division employs roughly 30 account executives, triple of what it had two months ago.
Some time this month the company is expected to issue its first GNMA security, one company official told National Mortgage News recently.
Carrington Mortgage was founded by former Citigroup executive Bruce Rose. The lender is owned by a hedge fund that carries the Carrington name.
RealtyTrac, the company that Sharga left, publishes one of the nation's largest databases of foreclosure and bank owned properties.
