A cease-and-desist order has been issued by the Georgia Department of Banking and Finance to The Pinnacle Division LLC, formerly known as MMS Holdings LLC, and doing business as The Sly Team and www.theslyteam.com, located in Atlanta.
This order was issued after the department obtained evidence that the aforementioned company engaged in "residential mortgage brokering/lending activities without a license."
In other action, an order to cease and desist was also issued to Shanna Nicole Allen of Carrollton, Ga.
The move was made after evidence was obtained that "Allen purposefully fabricated documentation requested by the department during the review of her application to be a mortgage loan originator."
On Aug. 19, an order to cease and desist was issued to Joshua R. Wood, an employee of Alliance Mortgage Services, 6605 Abercorn St., Suite 107, Savannah, Ga.
The department said it was "unlawful for Wood to be employed by a Georgia residential mortgage licensee."
