CitiMortgage has announced a $15 billion commitment to provide affordable housing to low- and moderate-income, minority, and underserved families in greater metropolitan Chicago through the end of the decade.CitiMortgage, Citigroup's residential mortgage lending business, said the pledge was made in connection with its Opportunities Within Neighborhoods program, which is part of Citi's broader $200 billion commitment to affordable housing through 2010. The announcement came at the opening session of the city of Chicago's Restoring the Walls - A Call to Faith and Action conference.
