Residential mortgage lender Cobalt Mortgage, Kirkland, Wash., has opened a new branch in Bellingham, its 19th office in the state.
The 10-year old mortgage company currently operates more than 50 branches in the Northwest and has announced plans to continue its expansion in the region “during the next several years.”
The new Bellingham branch manager Scott Ask, a Cobalt veteran and Washington state native, is in the process of selecting a team of experienced loan officers at the new facility.
This office is an important addition to the bank’s presence in the Northwest, said Dave Bochsler, national sales executive, because it will enable Cobalt to provide services “to a previously untapped territory."
Since 2001 the bank operates in Arizona, California, Colorado, Idaho, Louisiana, Minnesota, Nevada, Oklahoma, Oregon, Texas, Utah, and Washington and is licensed in 18 states.
