Rich Lillis and Kent Schwarz, who are both executive vice presidents for Colliers International Hotels, are the lead brokers overlooking the selling of a 322-room full service hotel in downtown Jacksonville that occupies 5.81-acres.

Currently operating as the Wyndham Jacksonville Riverwalk Hotel, the lender-owned REO property located on the Southbank of the St. Johns River includes 35,000 square feet of banquet and meeting space.  Another feature of the hotel is that it is near a highway and has easy access to Jacksonville’s Downtown Skyway monorail and water taxi services.

According to Seattle-based Colliers, Jacksonville’s expected growth in new hotel supply remains low, which makes this asset an “outstanding opportunity” for institutional investors, regional private investors and hotel owner-operators.

“Unencumbered by franchise license or management agreements, Riverwalk Hotel offers an exceptional opportunity for repositioning and rebranding with a major international hotel flag in a leading Southeast U.S. city,” said Rich Lillis, executive vice president for Colliers International Hotels in a press release.

“The cost basis per room is favorable, and adjacent riverfront parcels, available separately for acquisition, create the potential for a major redevelopment on this site,” Lillis continued.
