Countrywide Financial Corp., Calabasas, Calif., has announced the promotions of two executives to executive managing director.Carlos Garcia, who joined Countrywide in 1984, has been promoted to executive managing director of banking and insurance operations. Keith McLaughlin, who has also been with the company for nearly 20 years, was promoted to executive managing director and will continue to oversee the secondary markets, risk management, corporate accounting and tax budgeting, and financial reporting, Countrywide said. Mr. McLaughlin will also retain his title as chief financial officer. Countrywide also announced the promotion of 14 other executives to senior managing director.
