Peyton "Chip" Owen Jr. has been named executive vice president and chief operating officer of Equity Office Properties Trust, Chicago.The real estate investment trust said Mr. Owen will be responsible for EOPT's regional operations and functions such as leasing, marketing, and real estate services. Mr. Owen, 46, was formerly COO of Jones Lang LaSalle's Americas Region (comprising the United States, Canada, and Mexico). He will take over as COO on Oct. 20.
