FHFA promotes Galeano to oversee the Federal Home Loan banks

The Federal Housing Finance Agency promoted Andre Galeano to oversee its regulation and supervision of the 11 Federal Home Loan banks.

He will succeed Fred Graham, who is retiring effective Aug. 18, as deputy director of the Division of Federal Home Loan Bank Regulation. Graham held the job since April 2013.

Galeano started working in 2002 at a predecessor agency to the FHFA. Previously, he was the associate director of examinations for the Federal Home Loan banks, the associate director of credit risk for Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac, and the examiner-in-charge of Fannie Mae.
