Evan Jafa has been named to the newly created position of chief technology officer at The First American Corp., a Santa Ana, Calif.-based provider of title, property, mortgage, and other data.He will oversee the company's Corporate Information Technology Group, which was formed recently to support the development of First American's technology centers and technical infrastructure, the company said. Mr. Jafa was most recently chief technology officer for First American's Property Information Group.
