David Fitch, president of Gables Residential, has been given the additional title of chief executive officer of the Boca Raton, Fla.-based real estate investment trust and named to its board of trustees.In conjunction with the promotion, Chris Wheeler has become executive chairman of the multifamily REIT. Gables also reported that the Nominating and Corporate Governance Committee of its board has retained FPL Associates to facilitate the search for an additional independent trustee.
