The Georgia Department of Banking and Finance this week filed a cease and desist order against DBD Results LLC, Scottsdale Ariz., prohibiting the firm from conducting business within the state.

Two subsidiary websites operated by DBD – one that offers loan  modification assistance and another foreclosure advice – also were censured by the state.

This order was issued because the department obtained evidence that DBD was conducting residential mortgage brokering activities without a state license.

At press time, Marvin Jones Jr., the co-founder and a lawyer for DBD Results, could not be reached for comment.

An “access denied” message appeared on the firm’s websites Tuesday morning.

DBD has thirty days to provide the department with a valid license that it can perform business activities in the state. If this does not occur, the cease and desist order becomes final.
