Broker-dealer Gleacher & Co. Securities said Tuesday that two veteran MBS traders who, respectively, worked most recently for The Royal Bank of Scotland and Keefe, Bruyette & Woods, will be co-heading its MBS/ABS and rates division.
The two new Gleacher unit co-heads are Perrin Arturi, previously a managing director at RBS specializing in pass-through securities trading, and Donald Ullmann, previously head of fixed-income trading and co-head of fixed-income sales at KBW.
Both also have previously served in other notable mortgage-related Wall Street posts. Ullman was previously head of MBS sales and research at Merrill Lynch, and Arturi in the past has served as head of agency pass-through trading at UBS. Arturi also was previously head of mortgage pass-through trading at Bear Stearns.
