GMAC Eyes China Market

GMAC Commercial Holding Corp. is carefully considering China as a possible business opportunity, an executive at the company has told MortgageWire.The company recently entered the commercial mortgage market in Taiwan, and next it will "probably look across the strait of Formosa to [China]," according to Scot Barker, GMAC Commercial Holding's president and chief operating officer. The company plans to be "cautious and judicious" about when and how it makes the move, he said.
