The Greenwood Group, a Chicago-based investment and advisory company, has announced the creation of the Greenwood Small Cap REIT Index.The index provides what the company termed the "first-ever comprehensive performance measure" for small-capitalization equity real estate investment trusts by tracking a market-weighted basket of 50 stocks. The companies represent a cross-section of all property types with market capitalizations ranging from $50 million to $1 billion, Greenwood said.
