Heartland Financial USA has hired Insuritas to help it expand its insurance business.
Heartland aims to expand its agencies to provide insurance services across its nine banks and its national residential mortgage company, with the insurance agencies operating under each of the existing brand names. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed in a Sept. 15 news release.
"Our agency will offer all lines of insurance products to protect our customers, their families and businesses," said Lynn Fuller, Heartland chairman and chief executive, in the release.
"The Insuritas agency platform will allow our customers to instantly get insurance quotes every time they get a loan, get their insurance policy bill in the mail, or are visiting our online banking storefront."
Beyond simply expanding Heartland's existing insurance facility, Insuritas will also provide Heartland its E-InsuranceAISLE, LoanINSURE and SmartCART technology platforms. Insuritas specializes in creating private-label insurance agencies, which have been integrated into 100 financial institutions.
