Carrington Holding Co. hired Bill King as its chief investment officer and head of asset and risk management.
King will assume responsibility for the Santa Ana, Calif.-based company’s two investment-focused business units: Carrington Capital Management and Carrington Investment Services.
Carrington Capital Management is an alternative asset management firm focused on control-based investing in U.S. real estate, while Carrington Investment Services is a registered broker-dealer with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission and member of the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority.
King brings more than 20 years of experience to Carrington with a background in mortgages, asset-backed securities, collateralized-debt obligations and commercial mortgage backed securities.
Before joining Carrington, King was head of securitized products at Citadel. Prior to this position, he was co-head of global securitized products at JPMorgan.
“Bill is a great addition to the Carrington mortgage team, bringing decades of experience and skills that will significantly enhance our capabilities and presence in the financial markets,” said Bruce Rose, founder and CEO of Carrington.
