Harris will remain at LPS while undergoing a series of post-operative treatments. However, during this time other senior members of the executive management team will assume certain of his day-to-day responsibilities at LPS. He is expected to make a full recovery.

A request for more information regarding who will be handling  responsibilities has not been returned at deadline.

In a press statement, Harris said the company “has a very strong, experienced and dedicated management team. Additionally, we have made great strides over the past year in establishing greater disciplines and controls. With these factors in place, I am confident we will continue to deliver on our commitments to providing outstanding solutions and superior support to our customers with a focus on delivering value to our shareholders."

In trading Friday its stock price was up slightly.
